Solomon Gray (William, James) born in Barrington, N.H. 21st April 1760; died in Strafford, N.H. in March 182he was called "Marcy" and was born on 25th April 1760; died in Oct., 1827 (her gravestone reads- "October 1828"). They were buried in what is called the "Hall and Gray burying ground" located on the Gray farm on the line between North Strafford and Barnstead. Solomon Gray removed from Barrington to Strafford in 1794. He was a revolutionary War soldier, enlisting in the Continental Army of the Revolution, 17th April, 1781; he was a pensioner in 1819. In his will dated2nd June 1823 and proved 30th April 1824, he mentions, grandchildren Jonathan C. Gray and Marcy Gray. The first six of his children were born in Barrington and the other six in Strafford.
Solomon married Mary Locke, daughter of Jethro Locke and Mary Rand, on 15 Jul 1784. (Mary Locke was born circa 1760.)
