Gordon Bellamy was born at West Pennant Hills and in early 1930 when Australia's economic situation was very poor he was given a job as a clerk at Babcock & Wilcox where he was to stay all his working life, mostly as their Shipping Manager. On 18th, November, 1939 at St. Annes, Strathfield he married Lois Annie Hilton (b. c.1920) but they divorced in 1943 when Lois went to live in the USA with an American serviceman, Joseph Bick (she died there in late 1948). There was no issue of this union. On Nov 6, 1948 at St. Luke's, Liverpool Collin married Dorothy McMorland (b. May 22, 1924). They were to have a stillborn girl and a boy who only lived for a day. Collin and Dorothy always lived in the Liverpool district and with her health poor, Dorothy died on June 3, 2000. From 2004 Collin resided in the dementia wing of Minchinbury Manor where he died August 24, 2008.
