Just to let you know I've had a major breakthrough on the family of Hugh Dickson Sibbald. On Monday someone took copies of Hugh's documentation from my tree in Ancestry. I sent an email to the person concerned and she told me her friend was Hugh's daughter (Brenda), who was staying with her whilst on holiday in the UK and she was looking to see if she could find any information on her father. Well bingo, she found me.
To cut a long story short, she was actually staying 12 miles from me and visited me this afternoon. She goes back to Brisbane tomorrow.
It turns out that her and her brother and sister were sent to NSW in 1949 as Child Migrants to the Fairbridge Farm.
