George had 4 older brothers (not all survived), 3 older sisters and a younger brother John (Jack)
In 1887 George and Christiana were living at 7 Hugo St, Redfern. Between at least 1891 and 1896 the family lived in Singleton (3 children were born there). By 1903 the family were at 182 Union St Erskineville and by 1906 were at 15 or 16 Rochford St Erskineville. By 1908 they had moved to Arncliffe.

• emigrated. Arrived in Westland in New Zealand in 1876 aged 19 on the 'Camperdown' on only its 2nd voyage

George Henry Dennett is listed as going to New Zealand on the "Camperdown" which arrived on 4th July 1876 in Nelson with 400 immigrants. GHD was 19, single and listed as a miner, bound for Westland. There was still strong gold mining/prospecting activity in the late 1870's.
