  General Notes:

source: Keith Shrimpton where it notes:
From the Book "The Pragmatic Pioneers" by Dennis Gosper.
Marsden's Female Muster 1806 lists Elizabeth Evans alias Jackson as having four legitimate children, which may be clerical error as there is no indication that Elizabeth ever married either Arndell or Evans, the latter possibly because he already had a wife who may have been still living. Richard Evans himself refers to Elizabeth in one document post 1810, not as his wife, but simply Elizabeth Jackson and indeed she was repeatedly referred and also buried under that name. On the other hand Jackson may have in fact been her married name, she could have married in Ireland before she left there. She does however appear as Elizabeth Evans in some documents, but never Arndell or Arnold. Of the four children of Elizabeth Jackson, the youngest Mary is the only one to have a record of baptism, she appears in the St.Matthews Windsor Register as being baptised on 23rd March 1817, her birth date is given as 23rd June 1806 and her parents as Richard and Elizabeth Evans. Her brother George was born in about 1803 he was always known as George Evans and in all subsequent records he and his sister are known as George Evans an Mary Evans (Huxley) respectively: without exception. Mary Evans' (Huxley) death certificate states that her father was George Eavins and her mother Elizabeth unknown and as the informant was her son-in-law Edward Gosper, the substitution of George for Richard is quite understandable under the circumstances. Richard Evans specifically describes George and Mary as my son and my daughter in Deed of Gift dated 1812 and absolutely nothing has been
Found in the records to date that would even suggest that George and Mary are anything other than the natural children of Richard Evans and Elizabeth Jackson. Unquote.

The Gossper Connections page 212 States: - Elizabeth Jackson arrived as a convict on the "Marquis Cornwalls" on the 11/2/1796.

Noted events in her life were:

• source. http://www.easystreetretreat.com.au/australianroyalty where it is noted:
Elizabeth arrived in the colony aboard the convict ship 'Marquis Cornwallis' on 11 Feb 1796 and was sent to Norfolk Island. The Marquis Cornwallis departed Portsmouth on 8 Jun 1795, where John Arndell would have boarded (if he arrived in the colony aboard this ship, although there is no record of this), and called at Cork and collected the convicts.
John and Elizabeth did not marry but had a relationship in common law. John went to Norfolk Island aboard the ship 'Supply' as an assistant to the surgeon on 23 March 1796 (The is on the victualling list) and returned to Sydney aboard 'Francis' on 9 Jul 1796. His whereabouts after his return to NSW remain unclear, but it seems he returned to England and married.
Many researchers list Robert, Mary and George Arndell as the children of John Arndell and Elizabeth Jackson, when in fact they are more likely to be the children of Elizabeth Jackson and Richard Evans.
Besides Esther, whose parentage is also problematic, Samuel is the only other 'likely' child of John Arndell and Elizabeth Jackson.
Mary - Her marriage certificate gives her maiden name as Evans as does her death certificate.

Elizabeth had a relationship with John Arndell, son of Thomas Arndell and Susanna, circa 1796. (John Arndell was born circa 1772 and was christened on 5 Apr 1772 in London City, Middlesex England.)

Elizabeth next married Richard Evans circa 1803 in Cattai, NSW Australia. (Richard Evans was born circa 1770 in England UK and died on 31 Dec 1812 in Colo, NSW Australia.)
