Sarah was with her grandmother Sarah in Congleton in Cheshire on the night of the 1871 census, together with a 7 year-old cousin(?); she may not have moved to Lancashire with the family in ~ 1860, perhaps because she already had work in the silk industry?
Sarah understated her age by 8 years - she was 56, not 48 at the time of her arrival
