Aunt Doris Bonehill, her husband Ernest, was my fathers brother, when my dad died, in1948, I was sent to live with them so I spent some time with them and my younger cousin Joan, living first in Scotland and then Cornwall, as my uncle was a coastguard.

• Occupation: RN Chief Yoe Signals, then Coast Guard Officer, Lizard,Cornwall.

Ernest married Doris Bonehill, daughter of Harry Best Bonehill and Julia Edwards, in Jul 1939. (Doris Bonehill was born on 1 Apr 1903 in Epping, Essex England and died in 1983.)
