Doris Bonehill

  General Notes:

Dorris was a dancer. She was a brilliant tap dancer and head girl of The Tiller Girls at The London Palladium. She was trained as a tracer - cartoonist. Nickname Dot or Dodo .
She was dancing in Spain and was evacuated when the Spanish Cival War broke out. She also danced in Malta where she met and married her husband Ernest RN (DSM) France . Dorris had one child Joan who I visited 5.10.1999 to see Phyrne. Husband Michael Wykeham , one son Ben. Joan is a cartoonist and Michael makes desks for the production of cartoons. They live at The Lake Press, Higher Lake , Langtree, Torrington, Devon, EX38 8NX. 01805 601318. In 2000 Joan was diagnosed as having a brain tumour. Joan died 14th July 2001. I attanded a memorial service at St Wynwallow Church , Landewednack , Church Cove , The Lizard Sat 13th October 2001 . Joan ashes were placed with her parents grave who are burried together in the graveyard of St Wynwallow Church .
