Aldof lived on the original land selected and cleared by his father. It is now worked by his grandson and great grandsons. He was a Shire Counsillor and Member of Parliament for many years and he was the main instigator in getting Moogerah Dam started. His son Selwyn follwed in his Parliamentary footsteps and was the Speaker of the HOuse until his retirement in 1983.

Adolf married Annie Lobegeiger. (Annie Lobegeiger was born on 27 Feb 1891 in Queensland Australia and died on 31 Dec 1970 in Kalbar, Queensland Australia.)
