On the 1814 Muster Charlotte is shown as Charlotte Crabb, free on stores, with three children, and the wife James Crabb, Soldier of the 73rd Regiment. James seems to disappear from the records just after that, and it is not known if he died and his death unrecorded, or if he deserted his family and returned to England at the end of his tour of duty which is quite possible.

Noted events in his life were:

• Occupation: A Soldier in the 73rd Regiment.

James married Charlotte (Nee Bishop) Crabb Shrimpton Allsop, daughter of Samuel Day (Convict) 1st Fleet and Mary Davies Davis Bishop (Convict) 1st Fleet, on 18 Mar 1811 in St Johns C of E, Parramatta, Sydney, NSW Australia.
