Believe it or not I can actually remember "Uncle" George and "Aunt" Sally as they lived very close to us when I was growing up. I used to visit them in Parsons Street West Wollongong and remember them giving me a spinning top when I was quite young. I am pretty sure Aunt Sally lived in the same house as Uncle George and I remember his second wife. I don't think Sally was married.

Nellie I am not sure whether I met her or not, Neville will be able to tell me for sure. I certainly remember her son Lonza, who I used to call Uncle Don. He had holiday cabins and hire boats at St Georges Basin on the NSW south coast. We used to go there every year. Neville's father, Arthur, retired there from Wollongong many years later. Neville will have a better memory of Nellie's family than me.


George married Isabel Liddle on 8 Oct 1892 in Congregational Manse, Wollongong, NSW Australia. (Isabel Liddle was born in 1874 in Durham, County Durham England, died on 19 Jan 1943 in Wollongong, NSW Australia and was buried on 21 Jan 1943 in Wollongong Cemetery, NSW Australia Ce S3m14a.). The cause of her death was degeneration of myocardium, bronchitis, asthma.
