Received legacy from father of £1,000 plus further £400 if brother THOMAS di d n o t lease Little Park and West Edgerly to him for 9 years for £140 p.a.. Joh n w a s not allowed to break up the farm. Also John was to be allowed to take ov er t h e lease of East Edgerly which his father rented from Rev. Baker for the s ame p er iod as he ran Little Park and West Edgerly. Further the remaining leas e of We s t Town Lands Farm which father THOMAS had leased from Thomas Greenawa y (who w a s probably related by marriage to John's sister Sarah (husband or fat her-in-la w)
