Unfortunately, her mother Alice May HIRD (nee: EVEREST) died soon afterward when her young daughter Alice Lilian May Hird was only 3 years of age. Followinhg her mother's death, father Henry Sydney John Hird and his young daughter Alice Lilian May Hird relocated from Williamstown, Melbourne VIC and moved to live in Sydney, NSW.
Special Note: On her Birth Certificate her name is "Alice Lilian May Hird, but on her marriage certificate her name was mis-spelt as "Alice Lillian May Hird".
Special Note: it was mentioned that her grandfather was the head of Victorian Rail.

Alice married Henry Sydney John (Harry) Hird, son of William Edward Hird and Priscilla Louise Brown, on 25 Jul 1895 in Williamstown, Melbourne, Victoria Australia. (Henry Sydney John (Harry) Hird was born on 12 Mar 1875 in Collingwood, Melbourne, Victoria Australia and died on 5 Sep 1962 in Lidcombe Hospital, Sydney, NSW Australia.)
