General Notes:
Gary happily retired from the Australian Army on the 8th February 1998 with the rank of Warrant Officer Class Two after completing 20 years in the Royal Australian Army Signal Corps. His last posting was in Canberra, ACT, Australia where he spent five years assisting in the procurement of communications equipment for the Australian Defence Force.
The family moved to a 5 acre property at Brays Creek in the Tweed Valley, N.S.W. just after Easter 1998. The children all went to the Tyalgum Primary School and Gary drove the school bus. All three children subsequently attended Wollumbin High School, Murwillumbah.
In 2001 they purchased a business and planned on Marg running it with Gary still doing the school bus run. The business became so busy he had to give up the bus and help full time in the business.
Gary and Margarita have been running the same business now for ten years. For a short period they split the shop into two seperate shops with Gary remaining in the Electronics shop and Margarita setting up and running a Telstra dealership. She subsequently sold that business in Aug 2010 and now both are back in the Electronics shop.
Margarita is an ardent supporter of Rotary and is the President Elect (2011/2012) for the Mt Warning AM Rotary Club of Murwillumbah. She was Team Leader for the Mexico Group Study Exchange.
Gary moved on to do a course as an Assistant In Nursing - Acute Care and Aged Care. Whilst completing the course he started work with McGuiness Funerals Murwillumbah as a casual funeral assistant. This turned in to full time work as the Administration Officer/Receptionist (no skirt).
In March 2017 Margarita and Gary moved to Newcastle NSW to be closer to the two boys, Beth living permantley in Kitchener, Ontario, Canada with her partner Callum Moore.
