Philip Emery Gadd enlisted in the Navy on 15/4/1913 for a period of 7 years. He is described as: - 5 feet 8 inches, hair - brown, eyes - grey, complexion - fresh and had a birthmark upper lip.
Philip was commended by C’wealth for services in “Protector” during a gale on 21/6/1919. He was paid 12 pound ten shillings as a share in Naval Prize Fund.
He served on the “Cerberus”. “Australia”, and at the London Depot.
