A.I.F.) the dearly loved youngest son of David and Mary White of 31 Caroline street, South Yarra, loving brother of Dave, Tom (deceased, A.I.F.), George, Gladys (Mrs Halliday). and Bruce, aged 29 years.

Clarence Sinclair White enlisted in the Australian Imperial Force on 6/6/1917. His next of kin was his father David White whose address was John Street, North Fremantle. The Certificate of Medical Examination describes Clarence as - 18 years 7 months, height - 5 feet 2 inches, weight - 125 pounds, chest measurement - 32/34 inches, complexion - fair, eyes - blue, hair - fair and religious denomination - Church of England. His distinctive marks were - 3 vacs.
Clarence was admitted to the military hospital Porkhouse, England on the 21/9/1917 with the mumps and discharged to Depot on 12/10/1917. He applied to the Dental Unit and was transferred to 52 Dental Unit on the 4/4/1918 and was sent to France on the 19/1/1919. Sent back to England 28/5/1919
He was admitted to hospital with septic tonsilitis on the 9/6/19.
Clarence returned to Australia per H.T. “Mahana” and was discharged on 5/12/1919.
