Dear Sir,
I have to acknowledge receipt of your communication of 22nd January, together with the Memorial Form "A", completed in respect of your son, the late No. 6622 Gunner J. Robinson, 13th F.A.B, and in reply to advise you that all expense in connection with the erection of the permanent headstones and the engraving of the soldiers' regimental particulars and date of death, will be defrayed by the Government. No expense is incurred by relatives save in the matter of a personal inscription (if so desired), which is limited to 60 letters including spaces between words (each space counting as a letter) and is engraved at an approximate cost of 3 pence halfpenny per letter.
The above-mentioned soldier is recorded as having been killed in action in France on 20/1/17, and his remains are interred in the Guards Cemetery, Les Boeufs, plot 5, row 8, grave 10) situated near Albert, France, as depicted in the photographs of the temporary memorial despatched to you on 12/12/21.
