Jane died from Pleurisy.

Mrs Dickson of Mangalore, died on Monday last at the ripe old age of 72 years. The deceased lady, who had been ailing for some time back, was an old resident of these parts and highly respected by all. She has left a husband and large circle of relatives and friends to mourn their loss. The funeral took place on Wednesday and was largely attended by friends from all parts of the district.

Jane married Christopher Dixon, son of Christopher George Dixon and Lady Janet Graham, on 16 Mar 1838 in Westerkirk County, Dumfries, Scotland UK. (Christopher Dixon was born on 11 May 1812 in Eskdale, Dumfries, Scotland UK, died on 12 Mar 1908 in Avenel, Victoria Australia and was buried on 14 Mar 1908 in Avenel Cemetery, Victoria Australia.)
