The Certificate of Medical Examination describes Thomas as 29 years, height - 5 feet 4 and a half inches, weight - 127 pounds, chest measurement - 35/36 and a half inches, complexion - sallow, eyes - blue-grey, hair - dark brown and religious denomination - Presbyterian. His distinctive marks were - small brown mole over sternan, vac mark.
On the 3/5/1915 Thomas was wounded in action with gunshot wounds Lower Extremities - right thigh and left knee. He died from his wounds on the 15/5/1915. and was buried in Chalby Cemetery, Alexandria.
