The death occurred on Sunday last of Miss E. Armstrong, one of the oldest and most respected residents of the Rochford district, at the age of 74 years.
The late Miss Armstrong’s parents were amongst the earliest settlers in the Rochford district.
The deceased lady leaves two sisters: Mrs Norquay of Sydney, and Mrs D. Cook, senr, of Rochford. A brother Mr James Armstrong, died about 12 months ago.
The remains were interred in the Lancefield Cemetery on Tuesday, the Rev. Buntine conducting the funeral service. Mr W. Gallpen had charge of the funeral arrangements
