Many people in Southland will regret to hear of the death of Mrs W.H. Aylmer which took place on the steamer Rangitoto on the passage between Canterbury and Port Chalmers. Mrs Aylmer since leaving Invercargill had been in delicate health, and was on her way back to this district for the benefit of a change of air when the sad event occured. Her remains were brought on by the steamer, and the funeral is elsewhere notified to take place today.
The funeral of the late Mrs W.H. Aylmer will leave the residence of Mr McCulloch, McMaster`s Estate, THIS DAY at 1.30pm and St John`s Church at 2pm. Friends are requested to accept this inimation.

Henrietta married William Henry Aylmer, son of Rev William Josiah Aylmer and Elizabeth Frances Bayly, in Dec 1859 in Riverton, Otago New Zealand. (William Henry Aylmer was born on 22 Aug 1833 in Ireland UK, died on 6 Aug 1892 in Bondi, Sydney, NSW Australia and was buried in Waverley Cemetery, Sydney, NSW Australia.)
