Immigrated to New Plymouth, New Zealand on the William Watson. The ship docked on January 6 1858. She signed a testimonial letter to Captain Brown on the 26th December 1858 along with 22 other passengers.
"The barque William Watson cleared quickly into harbour under cover of the prevailing fog after a lengthy but agreeable passage of 135 days…….Capt Brown being an old navigator in these seas, came alongside with all the tact of the coaster………was under Tiri Tiri (where he picked up the Pilot, busy at work erecting the long looked for and much needed beacon) on Tuesday night".
