Noted events in his life were:

• source. Mary-Ann Cook who writes:
Frank Edward Hale was born on 2 September 1882 to James and Sarah Hale. They lived in Waterloo Road, Romford, and Frank was the sixth out of the seven children borne by Sarah, and the 13th child fathered by James. The censuses variously give the family`s address as High Street or Waterloo Road, but it is more likely that the dwelling was on the corner of the two than the family kept moving.
By 1901, Frank was an apprentice carpenter, and 15 years later at the age of 33 he met and married Daisy Mayes. By this time his father James had died, and he had taken over the furniture shop at 3 Waterloo Road. The marriage took place in Romford Registry Office on 5 June 1916, and was witnessed by William Samuel Mayes, Arthur Henry Mayes and Alice Maud Mayes. Alice and Arthur were Daisy`s older brother and younger sister.
Soon after his marriage, Frank was called up to serve as a rigger for the Royal Flying Corps, and he served in Egypt until 1918 or 1919. After the war, he returned to Romford and had two children. The family were evacuated from Romford to Fotheringhay in 1940, returning to find that the shop had been destroyed, probably during an incendiary raid on High Street, London Road and Collier Row area at 0105 hrs on 19 April 1944, when 12 houses and shops, and Allen`s Garage were destroyed, and Havering Road School was damaged.
Frank then continued with his property and other investment interests, he was living at Rayleigh and died of bronchopneumonia with bronchitis and cardiac hypertrophy with hypertension on 10 March 1956. He was cremated at Southend crematorium.

Frank married Daisy Mayes, daughter of William Samuel Mayes and Harriet Sands, on 5 Jun 1916 in Romford, Essex England. (Daisy Mayes was born on 1 Jan 1892 in Romford, Essex England and died on 23 Dec 1979 in Charlton, London, Kent England.)
