Interred in Anglican, with wife, occupation Labourer/Postmaster. Robert spent his early life at 'Bogandina', 'Brenda' & 'Biree' stations near Walgett. He became postmaster & JP at Comborah near Walgett where he lived for twenty years before moving to New Angledool. Robert loved horses & always kept some racehorses in training. He was a keen poet and regularly corresponded with friends and family in verse. It is noted in an old book that "the death occurred of Mr Robert Lindores, who had been confined to his bed for several years. Mr Lindores was well known and respected throughout the district, and especially in the Angledool district, where for many years he was postmaster."
