February 29th, by special license, by the Rev. Dr. Fullerton, Mr. James Walker, eldest son of Mr. Joseph Walker, builder, to Theresa Victoria, eldest daughter of Peter and Louisa Hanslow, Botany-street, Chippendale.

On the 25th instant, at West Maitland, Mr. JAMES WALKER, engine driver, late of the railway workshops, Sydney, and son-in-law of the late Mr. Peter Hanslow, of inflamation of the lungs, in his 30th year, leaving a wife and two children to deplore their loss.
FUNERAL.\emdash The Friends of the late Mr. JAMES WALKER, engine driver, late of the Railway Works, Sydney, are respectfully invited to attend his funeral ; to move from the residence of his mother-in-law, Mrs. Peter Hanslow, No. 10, Cleveland-street, Redfern, THIS (Saturday) AFTERNOON, at 3 o'clock. J. and G. SHYING, Undertakers, George-street South, opposite Christ Church.

There are 3 children born to Theresa and Benjamin on BDM, all in Redfern: 1870 Lilian V; 1871 Alice Gertrude; and 1874 Ernest Alfred.
As there are no more children born after 1874, it is possible that Benjamin Richards died BDM 103/1874 aged 55 in Sydney. He had died by 1899 when Theresa died.

Could I please make a correction to James Walker who married Rachel Streater? (my great grandparents)
He was James Henry Walker born January 1862 at Baulkham Hills NSW.
His parents were James Walker and Ruth Sedgwick (born Lidlington Bedfordshire c 1844.) James Walker the elder is still a mystery to us, supposedly born in Canada c1835. I have seen so many trees with his mother listed as Hanslow.
I have James and Ruth's wedding certificate and James Henry's birth certificate as verification.
