At the time of George's baptism, Eva and Robert were living at the Barrac ks in York.

My dad told me that his father (George Francis) was working as a Sling er at Rotherham in the late 1930s and that he lost a few of his toes wh en something heavy fell on his foot. From memory, he thinks that his D ad was in hospital for a month or so.
