  General Notes:

Fred Burrows was found dead near the Sundown Mine south west of Stanthorpe, Queensland. He died from bullet wounds to the head sometime between 26 and 28 October 1924. An inquest was held by Oscar Meston J.P on 22 November 1924. He was buried on his selection (Severn River, 4 miles west from Sundown Mine) where he was found, 40 yards from his hut. Fred Burrows Selection is now part of the Sundown National Park andthe Burrows Waterhole Campsite is a tribute to his memory (from Paul Mann).


Frederick married Julia Winters in 1910 in Queensland Australia. (Julia Winters was born circa 1890.)
