Cotescue (the declared birth place) is the only farm on the Covernham Abb ey Estate
In 1901 Arthur Scarr (50) was there with ayoung wife Elizabeth. Only chi ld James aged 2.
A female child born in 1901 would be 16 at the time of CSB's birth, in a ny event his mother was an Edith Agnes Bell who I have a fairly convinci ng taced in Hawes.
Could not find an Elizabeth Bowe born Carlton (just down the road from Cov ernham) in abt 1863.
Is the fact that we have two other Clement Scarr Bowe's in the tree a coin cidence, as is a Scarr living in the farm at the last census befor the bir th? I don't think so, but I'm buggered of I can see it!!
Further research will have to find more out about Arthur Scarr and his wi fe Elizabeth in an attempt to trace her to a know Bowe, or Him to the alre ady known Bowe / Scarr link.
