OBITUARY from The Sharon Herald, March 11, 1909.
Mrs. Jennie Fahnline, wife of John Fahnline, general superintendent of the Driggs-Seabury Ordnance Corporation plant, died suddenly of heart disease, Wednesday morning at the family home on Euclid avenue. Unit a few hours before her death she was apparently in her usual health. Mrs. Fahnline was a member of one of New Castle's oldest families. She was born in that city January 29, 1859, the daughter of Thomas Walls, now deceased, and Mrs. Martha Walls, who resided here. About ten years ago Mr. and Mrs. Fahnline came to Sharon to reside. Mr. Fahnline being associated with John Stevenson, jr. in the Sharon Steel Company and later in the Driggs-Seabury works. Mrs. Fahnline was a member of the First Presbyterian church of this place and of the New Castle Kensington Club, an organization of Sharon women who had formerly resided in New Castle. She is survived by her Husband and one son, John, jr.; her mother, Mrs. Walls, a brother, Jackson Walls of new Castle, and two sisters, Mrs. M. H. McBride of New Wilmington and Mrs. Mary Cubbison of Sharon. The funeral will be held from the family residence at 2 o'clock this Friday afternoon. Rev. Dr. Dodds of Meadville, assisted by Rev. A. J. McCartney, will officiate.
Note: Mrs. M. H. McBride should be Mrs. M. H. Book (Malissa Emaline Walls).

MRS. FAHNLINE'S FUNERAL WAS VERY LARGELY ATTENDED
Largely attended was the funeral of Mrs. Jennie Fahnline, wife of John Fahnline, who was buried Friday afternoon in Oakwood Cemetery. The male members of the New Kensington Club of which the deceased and her husband were members during their residence in that city were in charge of the funeral, the honorary pail-bearers being: Grant Cubbison, Daniel O'Neal, and E. F. McMaster. The active pail-bearers were Charles Barr, John Disler, Charles Ehert, William Warner, Edward Sharp, and Elmer Billinger.
The Rev. Dr. Dodds, pastor of the church the deceased attended while she resided in New Castle was in charge of the services, assisted by the Rev. A, J. McCartney, pastor of the Presbyterian Church of this city.
The members of the Presbyterian Church of Sharon furnished the music.

MRS. FAHNLINE'S SUDDEN DEATH
Heart Trouble Caused Death Early Wednesday Morning of Former New Castle Woman
Mrs. Jennie Fahnline, wife of John Fahnline, and a former resident of this city, died Wednesday morning at four o'clock at the family residence in Sharon, quite unexpectedly. She had retired Tuesday night in her usual health, apparently and was taken suddenly ill with trouble, during the night. dying at 4 o'clock this morning.
Mrs. Fahnline was a member of one of New Castle's old families, and was born in this city January 29, 1859. She was the daughter of Thomas Walls, now deceased, and of Mrs. Martha Walls, who resided with her. About ten years ago when John Stevenson of this city went to Sharon, Mr. Fahnline who had been associated with him, removed to Sharon with his family, and became superintendent of the Driggs-Seabury Ordinance Company of which Mr. Stevenson is president. Mrs. Fahnline was a member of the New Castle Kensington Club of Sharon composed of Sharon ladies who once resided in this city. She is survived by her Husband and one son, John, jr.; as well as her mother, one brother, Jackson Walls, of this city, and two sisters, Mrs. M. H. McBride of New Wilmington and Mrs. Mary Cubbison of Sharon.
The funeral service will be held from the late residence, 11 Euclid Avenue, Sharon, but the day and hour have not been set.
Note: Mrs. M. H. McBride should be Mrs. M. H. Book (Malissa Emaline Walls).

DEATHS OF THE DAY
a number of friends from this city attended the funeral of the late Mrs. Jennie Fahnline, which was held at her late home in Sharon, Friday afternoon at 2:clock. Her former pastor, Rev. Dodds, district superintendent of the Meadville district of the Methodist Church officiated assisted by Rev. A. J. McCartney of the First Presbyterian Church of Sharon. The Thomas quartet rendered a number of selections. The remains were placed in the Buhl mausoleum in Oakwood Cemetery.

A dinner was held recently at Medure's by the descendants of Jesse and Walls (1784-1857) and Leah Salmons Walls (1791-1865).
Great great grandson Edward Lowery Walls, Jr., a member of the faculty of the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, served as host and master of ceremonies. Local arrangements were by Janet Stewart Kerr.
An extensive genealogical chart was displayed by Brooke E. Anderson of Zanesville, Ohio. An award was made to the youngest present, 6 year old Charles Joseph Walls of Ellwood City, a seventh generation descendant.
Jesse and Leah, natives of Delaware, were pioneer settler of Shenango Township, then part of Beaver County. Jesse served at Lake Erie in the War of 1812 and is listed as contributor to the building of the West Washington Street Bridge, the first to cross the Shenango River in 1814.
The stained glass windows, which were part of the original Savannah Church. building and now flank the entrance to the sanctuary of the present Savannah Methodist Church, are dedicated to their granddaughter, Jennie Walls Fahnline (1859-1909) and her mother Martha Walker Walls (1815- 1910).

(John Fahnline was born on 24 Jun 1858 in Bay City, Bay County, Michigan USA, died on 13 Aug 1926 in Ipswich, Essex County, Massachusetts USA and was buried on 16 Aug 1926 in Oakwood Cemetery, Hickory Township, Mercer County, Pennsylvania USA.)

Newspaper "The Democrat" dated Wednesday, Dec, 31, 1890:
On Thursday Miss Jennie Walls, sister of Chief of Police Walls, and Jno. Fahnline, the popular foreman at the Wire Nail Works, were united in marriage. Immediately after the ceremony Mr. and Mrs. Fahnline left for the east and will visit Philadelphia, Boston and other cities before returning.
