James married Matilda Jane Shackel, daughter of William (Charles) Shackel and Eliza Jane Bogle, on 17 Feb 1897 in Newrybar, NSW Australia.⁶²¹ (Matilda Jane Shackel was born on 16 Jan 1875 in Berrima, NSW Australia and died on 16 Sep 1959 in Bangalow, NSW Australia.)
