John Starr might have had a 4 year old daughter Theresa, who arrived with his mother Julia (?) in 1857. (see explanation below, Theresa's parents John and Maria).
John Starr born 1834 Tipperary, Ireland. Residence July 1855 in Finnoe N.Tipperary.
Emigration 18th July 1855 from South Hampton, England.
Arrived 16th Nov 1855, ship "Chowringhee", aged 21, Assisted Immigrant NSW State Records.
Freepages genealogy, Tipperary Emigrant Index has:
"John Starr, 1855 aged 21 arrived from Finnoe, Father; James, dead. Mother Judith, Living. 2 Sisters: Ellen and Honora in George st.
Helen (aged 20, kitchenmaid) and Honora (aged 17, nursemaid) arrived 23 June 1853 on the "Bolton". Both are from Nenagh, Tipperary. (NSW State Records assisted immigration).
Ellen aged 21 arrived 1854 "Columbia" from Nenagh. Father James, dead, Mother Judy widow Nenagh. (Arrival confirmed NSW State records, not sure if they are all the same family).
Julia, (widow aged 38 ?? a bit young to be John's mother?), from Tipperary, arrived 1857 in the "Aloe" with her daughter Bridget (15) (see below details of a Bridget), and son Thomas (20), (Confirmed NSW State records), and a child Theresa (4) who has a parent living in the Colony, her parents are John and Maria. (Confirmed NSW records).
Julia's son John is in Sydney. Her parents Thomas and Mary LYNCH both dead".

Confirmation is needed on whether the following is the correct John Starr: He lived in Goulburn and was alive when (his daughter?) Ellen Starr married 1881. He was deceased when (his daughter?) Mary Starr married in 1895.
Death 6622/1886 Goulburn; Starr, John, son of James and Julia.

DIED. Goulburn Evening Penny Post, Thurs 25 Feb 1886:
ON Sunday, 21st February, 1886, at his residence, Bourke-street, Goulburn, after a lingering illness, MR. JOHN STARR, aged 53 years.
(The age seems similar).

Goulburn. The HC Guild. Freeman's Journal, Saturday 27 February 1886:
...The Guild has, however, had cause to mourn this week, a much-respected member, Mr. John Starr, having died. Mr. Starr was for some time warden, and he was ever unsparing in his exertions for the welfare of the society. His death took place on last Sunday, after a long, lingering illness, and on Tuesday his remains were borne to the cemetery, attended by the members of the Guild in mourning regalia, and'a good number of other citizens. At the grave, the last prayers were said by the Rev. Father Carroll, Administrator. Mr. Starr is regretted by a very large circle of acquaintances. May his soul rest in peace.

FUNERAL. The Goulburn Herald and Chronicle Wed 4 June 1873:
THE Friends of Messrs. John and Thomas Starr are respectfully invited to attend the Funeral of their deceased Mother, which will take place on WEDNESDAY, the 4th inst., at three p.m. The procession will move from the Catholic Cathedral.
Thomas aged 20 had arrived with his mother Julia and sister Bridget in 1857.
(Thomas, the son of Thomas?, possibly married Mary G Cassells 1893/1136 Sydney.
