(Why would they need a special license if Mary Starr was aged 27? Maybe she wasn't Catholic?)

Mary Byrne (Starr) passed away when her daughter Mary Byrne (married Wilson) was under five years of age.

Mrs. R. BYRNE, aged 27, wife of Richard Byrne, of Boro, died on Saturday night from inflammation of the lungs. The deceased had only been ill for eight days. The remains were buried to-day in the Roman Catholic cemetery.
(How could she be 27 when she died in 1899?? Is the birth correct or was she born 1872?)
Richard Byrne married again 3819/1900 Goulburn, to Elizabeth Partington (Richard and Elizabeth had 10 more children).
