Charlotte Ellen Beck
(Cir 1880-) |
Charlotte Ellen Beck
Noted events in her life were: • source. Jane Perry who notes: His third wife was Charlotte Ellen Beck whom he married in 1916, however he changed his name for this marriage to James Parkinson. Charlotte was the woman who found him out and had him imprisoned for being a bigamist. As you can imagine for the Newey family this was shocking news and it was such a difficult time that the family never really talked about it. I understand that Margaret Pricilla Newey happened to be travelling by boat back from Ceylon during 1911 with a family that employed her as a domestic nurse, when she met Mr Maynard. She left this employment that year (1911) and married Mr Maynard in Ombersley Worc's. Charlotte married Graydon Richard Maynard in 1916. (Graydon Richard Maynard was born on 14 Jul 1856 in Los Angeles, Los Angeles County, California USA and died on 15 May 1919 in Parkhurst Prison, Isle of Wight England.) |
