Robert Cross (m. 1806) is understood to have had common law arrangements with one or more women during his subsequent life in the Colony. As he is not an ancestor of our family I have not sought to trace his movements. registered the births of eight children in NSW, reporting herself as their mother, under her legal surname of Cross. In all cases no father was nominated, so the Births were recorded under the mother's surname. The children lived in the Horsley household with their parents (See the first seven shown in the 1828 Census of NSW). \cf0
