It is confirmed she was only thirteen when she married. Her father gave fully his blessing because she showed a level head and worked hard in the house illustrating she was more than a mature woman to handle a job. He knew she would survive as a spouse too, under any circumstances she would prove it and when the family moved to the South Australian country she proved her worth. When she died she requested her remains be placed next to her husband in August 1989, at Wagga. Rupert Leslie Richens was buried in 1980,at Wagga.
