Noted events in his life were: • connection. Christopher Kennedy - connection to me is as follows: • Occupation. miner • Will. Text: I Edward Chance of Bott Lane in the parish of Oldswinford in the County of Worcester Miner do hereby revoke all former Wills and declare this to be my last Will and Testament. I give and devise the messuage or dwelling house with the garden land adjoining now in my own occupation at Bott Lane aforesaid and also a parcel of garden land containing about seven hundred square yards situate at Haygreen in the parish of Oldswinford aforesaid also in my own occupation unto my dear Wife Mary Chance to hold to my said Wife for the term of natural life or until she shall marry again and after her decease or second marriage I give and devise the same unto my daughter Sarah Chance for the term of her natural life for her own sole use and benefit and after the decease of my said daughter Sarah I give and devise my said messuage and garden land adjoining and also any other said parcel of land unto my children Joseph Chance Jesse Chance John Chance Edward Chance Robert Chance James Chance and Ann Jefferies their heirs and assigns equally share and share alike and it is my express will and desire that my said children shall not have the power to dispose of any part of my said real estate ? devised to them as aforesaid to any strangers in blood but only the one to the other of them. I give and bequeath my household goods chattels and effects and also all my moneys and personal estate unto my said wife and my said son Edward Chance and the survivor of these his or her Executors and administrators upon trust to pay all my just debts funeral and testamentary expenses and after payment thereof to pay the remaining surplus money unto my said wife and to permit her to have the use of my said household goods and chattels during her life or so long as she shall continue my widow and after her decease in trust to divide and distribute my said household goods and chattels equally amongst all my before mentioned children share and share alike and I hereby empower my said wife to mortgage all or any part of my said real estate to the amount of fifty pounds in case she has any necessity for such ? I nominate and appoint my said wife and my said son Edward Chance Executors of this my Will in witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand This first day of December 1854 Edward married Mary Wooldridge on 15 Apr 1805 in Kingswinford, Staffordshire England. (Mary Wooldridge was born in 1784 in Old Swinford, Stourbridge, Worcestershire England.) |
