• Occupation. He was a builder and in his later years he was the caretaker and librarian of the Kempsey School of Arts.

• fact. He was one of the first elders of St Andrew's Presbyterian Chruch at Kempsey and was the first Session Clerk, and for 21 years was Superintendent of the Sunday School.
