Elizabeth DIX, aged 21, a nursemaid, father Joseph, deceased, mother Mary Ann, arrived in Sydney on 5 August, 1855 in the Euphrates. She was one of a group of single women and paid 7 pounds. She had no relatives in the colony. Elizabeth married Job Stafford GARRETT in Wollongong on 9 August, 1856. Elizabeth and Job had five sons, three of whom died in infancy. Job GARRETT died in Cooma on 4 June, 1874, aged 40 and Elizabeth GARRETT died at Cootamundra, NSW on 9 October, 1905, aged 71.
