Joseph Dix Jnr

  • Born: 3 Apr 1831, Cookham Dene, Berkshire England
  • Marriage (1): Rose Wyatt Robinson in 1860
  • Died: 1901, London City, Middlesex England at age 70

Noted events in his life were:

• source. Kevin Warner who notes:
I have also had a look at his military records and found that he was a combat vet of the Crimean War battles of Alma, Balaklava, Inkerman and the Sebastapol as well as the Indian Mutiny battle of Lucknow. Thus he fought in some of the fiercest battles of the 19th century for the British Army. If you do not know of these campaigns, then take it for granted that he froze and starved on the windswept plains and hills of the Crimea in that terrible winter and then went on to the blistering heat of the Indian plains to fight the sepoys.
