Frederick Eugene was born at Tyaak . He attended the first Tyaak school when it opened in 1868.Fred joined other members of his family on the shearing stations in New South Wales. Fred married Ada Seymour from Wagga Wagga New South Wales in 1906. Fred Daws had been 'boss of the board' at the shearing shed at Wantabadgery where Ada's father was the manager. Fred and Ada came back to live at Tyaak, and their children Violet Ada and Noel Seymour were born in Broadford. In 1915, while away shearing, Fred was taken ill with pneamonia the Doctor ordered him to bed. Instead he set off for home at Tyaak travelling two days and two nights by train. He managed to complete the journey but died soon after. He was aged 54.

OBITUARY. - It is with much regret that we have to record the death of Mr Fred Daws of Tyaak, which sad event occurred at his home after a short illness resulting from pneu monia Mr Daws was a very old resident of Tyaak, and was highly respected by all who made his acquaintance. His early demise at the age of 54 years, leaves a gap in the family circle, and the sympathy of all goes out to the sorrow ing widow and family and brothers The funeral took place on Sunday, quite a large number paying their last respects at the graveside


Frederick married Ada Seymour, daughter of George Seymour and Elizabeth Agnes McBroom, on 13 Nov 1906 in St Johns, Wagga Wagga, NSW Australia. (Ada Seymour was born on 21 Mar 1875 in Gundagai, NSW Australia and died in 1965 in Katoomba, NSW Australia.)

Daws - Seymour A wedding in which the principal participants were very popular. (says the Wagga ".Express "), was celebrated at St John's Church, on Wednesday, Nov 13th. -the contracting" parties being Mr. Fredk. Daws, of B roadford, Victoria, and'.Miss.Ada Seymour, third daughter of Mr G. Seymour, of Wan tahbadgery, near Wagga. The bride was escorted to the altar by Mr. C. A Cannon,who gave her away, and wore a bridal costume of- cream silk voile, with trimmings of silk and chiffon,set off with the customary wreath and veil, She also wore a handsome star and cresent brooch, and carried a -beautiful bouquet,' both the gifts ,of the bride groom.. The br ide. was at'tended by three maids, her sisters. .Misses Amy Alice, and Winnie Seymour acting in that capacity. They were attired in white.Indian muslin, trimmed with Valenciennes laces, and set off with pale green, sashes. They also " wore gold -pendants,; and carried pretty bouquets, the gift of the bridegroom The office of best man was filled by Mr. Robert Seymour and the officiating clergyman was Archdeacon Wentworth Shields. The biride's mother wore black silk with black toque. After the ceremony at the Church, the wedding party drove to the Club House. Hotel, the residence of the bride's aunt, where the breakfast was partaken of, after which suitable toasts were honored. That of the bride and bridegroom was happily proposed by the chairman Archdeacon Wentworth Shields, and after the response by the bridegroom, Mr. F. Anderson proposed the health of the bride's parents the toast being responded to by Mr. C. A. Cannon. " The Bridesmaids" was proposed by Mr. E. Seymour, and the response made by. Mr R. Seymour, after which Mr. Geo. Thornton, pro posed " The Chairman", to which Archdeacon Wentwortb-Shields 're sponded. Mr. and Mrs Daws left by the " paper "train .en route to Melbourne, where the honeymoon is to be spent, and were accorded a send-off by a large number of friends. The bride's going away dress was of navy blue crepeline, trimmed with white silk and guipure, and.she also wore a pretty black picture hat.
