George, Elizabeth, and the four girls left Scotland and travelled to New Zealand then after a short time moved on to NSW. They went first to Coalcliff and then to Bulli. Next they bought an orange orchard at Narara near Gosford. Later the parents moved to Coledale and Grandma lived there until her death. George left the family and went to north Queensland supposedly looking for gold. He never returned but one of his grandsons did visit him. He died and was buried at Cairns.
