The "Barkston Chronicles" in the August/September 2001 issue of the Pari sh Magazine states that "Cyril [Brogden] had married Marjorie Hey Atkins on in 1936 and the Atkinsons farmed at Stream Farm." John Atkinson appea rs to have inherited Stream Farm at the death of Sarah Ann Hey or, at leas t, he was farming there at his death in 1931. For a Marjorie Hey Atkins on to have been born c1915, one of Johns sons - presumably Alfred, who w as a farmer in 1927 - must have married a Hey daughter, presumably o ne of Sarah Anns daughters.
The 'Chronicle' goes on to mention that Cyril and Marjorie had 2 childre n, Margaret and Geoff Brogden, and that Cyril moved the family back to t he Brogden holding of Ivy Farn in 1943 on the death of his father. Ivy Fa rm was brought up from 163a to 210a by Cyril Brogden and so was presumab ly significantly bigger than Stream Farm. Cyril died in 1974 and Marjor ie in 1994.
