"However, William and Mary Ann [Brogden] owned Laurel Farm. Little Edith w as eventually to marry Walter Lawn who owned the Orchards and lived next d oor to the school and their daughter was May Lawn - but that's another sto ry except that it was May who inherited Laurel Farm."
