Marpent is a village in the Department of the Nord, 10.5 kilometres ea st of Maubeuge in the valley of the Sambre. The Commission graves are in t he south part of the Communal Cemetery. Historical Information: There a re now over 20, 1914-18 war casualties commemorated in this site.
All died as prisoners in August-October, 1918.
