1891 Census RG12/3680 Farnley : Charles Whitam 48, general labourer, bo rn in Otley, Annie E. 40 born in Leeds, Abby 15 born in Farley, Ann Gilli am niece 3 born in Leeds

I don't understand how Ann can be the niece of 'Charles Whitam'. Ann's mot hers Maiden name was definitely Simpson, and all of her father's sisters a re married to other people. Nor is 'Whitam' a typo - I located him in t he 1881c with a wife names Annie, born Leeds c1849.

Ann married Edward P. Durham in 1909 in St Marys, Whitkirk, Yorkshire England. (Edward P. Durham was born circa 1885.)
