On the Death of Eliza Hawkins Strothard, William Strothard married and h ad further children.
The 1881c entry for this family lists the wife as Mary A, 40, Shepton Mall et SOMERSET. It may be that Eliza died early, and there is indeed a Free B MD marriage record 1Q 1870 for a William Strothard, one of the possible pa rtners being Mary Cullen. Accordingly, all of the Strothard children bo rn after 1860 must be treated with caution for the moment. The 1901c, inde ed, has this Mary Ann living with HER son Charles - promptly deleted! Like wise the 1891c with Arthur and George. Not deleted, but treated with gre at suspicion.
