The Barkers came from Norfolk, so it's quite possible the two families came from the same area, or maybe it's just one of those uncanny coincidences. There are also Pearsons on the paternal side of the family I'm researching - they came from Bury St Edmonds in Suffolk, Alice Pearson married a Simpson and they also settled in the Wollongong area, at Marshall Mount.

His father was Edward Bannister Dawes (1813) & he also had James Dawes (1843)
He had Annie Florence Dawes (1873) who married Arthur Augustus Bray (1869)
They had Albert Alan Bray (1896)
He had Robert Alfred Bray (1920)
He had Robert Arthur Bray (1947) who married me - Robyn Bray (nee Davies) (1950)

Robert married Mary Draper on 15 Oct 1851 in Norfolk England. (Mary Draper was born in 1826 in Attleborough, Norfolk England ⁸⁹, christened on 18 May 1827 in Attleborough, Norfolk England and died on 27 Apr 1882 in Albion Park, NSW Australia.)
