I told the Perth branch of the family about your web site and I think Faith is going to contact you.It's interesting to see that you are a teacher (as David is)The Croft family seem to have been involved in the early development of The Church of England National Schools and were teachers in many parts of the country and I have identified 6 from the early 1800's.The Bishopsthorpe branch were in the employ of the Bishop of York from at least 1820 until 1901 the 1911 census may tell me more.
