(Ref. 1851 Census) Alexander is possibly at Laigh Knowglass on the 1881 census, working as a Farm Servant for hi s cousin/brother-in-law (see entry for Jane Semple, above). He never married. Alexander die d at Mount Farm, Avondale, on the 27th of October 1901. His brother-in-law John Cooper (siste r Marion's husband) was the informant.
