He is widowed, employed as Fire Damp Man In Coal Mine and living with his daughter, Mary Edgar (29), and his grand-daughter, Amelia Edgar (4). Our Peter Higson is the Machine Clerk, Reference RG11/3759 Folio 86 Page 52. How do we know this? Because he's the brother of Jane, mother of Eliza Higson who married Enoch Williams and then William Marsh but, more importantly, gave birth to Agnes (known as Agnes Marsh) when she was between husbands.
